The situation in the industry create a demand of education of specialists skilled in web programming - as indicate the number and quality of available job offers in this field, especially in Great Britain, but also in other European countries.
Learning programming languages like Perl and PHP, using SQL databases and writing handcoded HTML opens a way to attractive jobs in the industry, where the thing that is missing are not posts, but qualified people to take them.
Because of the opportunities connected with education in these specialities, after years of practice as webdesigner and web application programmer I decided to give my part of its development. Between 2005 and 2007 I was involved in creating an integrated education programme giving a chance to become a specialist having chances to get the job. I lectured university classes in related subjects and in this website sections I'd like to give up some details.

Web Programming education should include technologies and standards like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, CGI and programming languages like Perl and PHP, SQL databases, web application security issues and basics of server administration.
An essential matter is to ensure a perfect correlation between the classes dedicated to certain subjects.
In order to realize all these ideas in university conditions, specific subjects have been assigned to certain classes, in such a way that subjects will be taught in the proper order.
For instance, HTML language, HTTP protocol and CGI technology have been included in Computer Networks classes. Perl and SQL have their separate classes, and there is also the main class called Web Application Programming and additional class dedicated to system security matters.
These ideas have beed successfully implemented in a new, brilliant specialty in the Institute of Physics of Pedagogical University in Cracow. There are courses planned either. As our graduates will start finding attractive jobs, web application programming education ideas will get even more popular.
